Question 1

What is Cali-style?

Accepted Answer

Cali-style salsa originates from Cali, Colombia. It’s known for fast footwork, bouncy movement, and dancing primarily in place rather than along a line.

Question 2

What is Crossbody-style?

Accepted Answer

Crossbody (also called LA or NY style) is danced in a line and features elegant turns, intricate partner work, and smooth flowing movements.

Question 3

What style do you recommend for beginners?

Accepted Answer

Both are beginner friendly! We recommend trying both if you’re unsure. Most students start with whichever class fits their schedule.

Question 4

Can I just turn up to your classes?

Accepted Answer

No — all our classes are structured monthly courses that you book and pay for in advance. We don’t accept drop-ins.

Question 5

How much are your courses?

Accepted Answer

Our classes are £45/month (£55 on 5-week months). This covers all classes in your enrolled level for that month.

Question 6

Do I have to commit for the month?

Accepted Answer

Yes, all our classes are monthly commitments. This ensures consistent progression and a stable class group.

Question 7

What if I can’t make a class?

Accepted Answer

We understand life happens! Please message us in advance. We can’t offer refunds but may be able to accommodate in some circumstances.

Question 8

What about 5-week months?

Accepted Answer

Some months have 5 weeks. In these cases, the price is £55 instead of £45 to account for the extra class.

Question 9

I’ve danced before, what level should I join?

Accepted Answer

Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll advise based on your experience.

Question 10

Do you offer trial classes?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Try your first class for just £15, no commitment. Love it? Continue from £45/month. We don’t offer walk-in drop-ins though, trials are booked online in advance like any other class.

Question 11

Can I enrol for both Cali & Crossbody Salsa?

Accepted Answer

Yes! Many students do both. You’d need a separate enrolment for each style.

Question 12

What’s the vibe like?

Accepted Answer

Super fun, welcoming and high energy. We take the dancing seriously but keep the atmosphere light and social.

Question 13

Do I need a partner?

Accepted Answer

No! Most students come solo. We rotate partners in class so everyone gets to dance with everyone.

Question 14

What shoes and clothes should I wear?

Accepted Answer

Comfortable clothing you can move in. For shoes, anything with a smooth sole works for beginners — no trainers with grip. Dedicated dance shoes are ideal but not required.

Question 15

How does the £15 work?

Accepted Answer

The £15 covers your first class only. If you love it and want to continue, you pay the remaining balance to complete the month, if not, there's nothing more to pay.

Question 16

What happens after I book?

Accepted Answer

You’ll receive everything you need — class time, location, what to wear — before your first session. We’ll be in touch as soon as your booking is confirmed.

Question 17

Can I start mid-month?

Accepted Answer

Yes — if spaces are available partway through a month, the price is adjusted based on the remaining weeks.
